Basil Genovese Sweet

Genovese Sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) is a basil variety with large, aromatic bright green leaves that has a sweet, slightly spicy flavor. It is common basil used to make pesto. It's a staple in Italian cooking.  

Growing conditions: Genovese Sweet basil in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil with a pH of 6.0–7.0, and flourishes in full sun while still tolerating partial sun. This versatile herb is an excellent companion for tomatoes, peppers, oregano, and marigolds, and acts as a natural pest deterrent against aphids and mosquitoes.
